Duration Description

This Major programme is being offered to the learner on a part time basis and designed to be sufficiently flexible to meet the needs of different learners with varying work/life situations. Overall, the programme is based on a duration of 1200 hours (150 hours per component module for the required 8 modules, i.e. 50 hours of directed learning and 100 hours of self-directed learning for each of the 8 component modules). The Course would be completed over 48 weeks, to include both directed and self-directed learning. However, for suitably qualified learners, a fast-track option for completion of this Programme in a minimum of 35 weeks would also be offered to selected candidates. The fast-track option would be based on the approval of a screening committee, which would assess each candidate’s prior learning, literacy and numeracy skills and the individual’s self-learning capabilities.
