Award Profile

Prior to the establishment of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) in 2012, the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) made FET awards in Ireland. FETAC was responsible for making awards at levels 1 - 6 of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) under the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999, from 2003 – 2012. QQI assures all holders of FETAC awards that their awards will continue to be recognised at the appropriate levels of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)
