Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in Resource Efficiency for Sustainability

Programme Purpose

The programme aims to equip the learner, as an employee in the workplace, with the knowledge, skills and competence to identify, prioritise, and implement a series of resource efficiency actions. These actions are in the areas of water, energy, waste and materials and can be implemented by employees in the business/workplace. It includes an element of experiential learning where the employee will apply the skills learned to identify resource efficiency improvements for the business/workplace involved. On completion, there is potential for progression to further training programmes on green skills / sustainable practices (under development by SOLAS, ETBs and strategic partners) and/or more specialised sustainability training (e.g. 5N1442 Environmental Studies, 5M5028 Applied Ecology, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (CSSGB), etc.)
