Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in Stand Up Paddle Boarding Instructional Skills

Programme Purpose

Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) Instructional Skills aims to equip the learner with personal safety, instructional skills and knowledge competencies needed to deliver a fundamental SUP session for a group of up to 6 novice paddlers, on flat water in up to force 2 winds (on the water conditions). Learners will be equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to progress into employment in the adventure tourism/outdoor activity sector or to progress onto a variety of FE or third level courses. The programme is aimed at learners with water confidence, but no prior paddle sports or water sports skills/experience is needed.
