Programme Purpose

The Certificate in Financial Technology (Level 9, 25 ECTS) is an embedded exit award in the Master of Science in Financial Technology. The Certificate is not offered as a separate exit award. The programme shares the 25 ECTS taught components of the Masters programme. The Certificate can be completed in one-half of an academic year by full-time learners and in one year by part-time learners. The overall aim of the programme is to provide graduates with the opportunity to attain a Level 9 award if they cannot complete the second semester or the research methods component of this programme for personal or professional reasons. Therefore, the Certificate in Financial Technology award (25 ECTS, NFQ Level 9) is offered only as an exit award from the Masters programme.
