Certificate in Project Management and Implementation Science
The purpose of this course is provide students with knowledge on how to use methods and strategies to adopt and integrate evidence-based interventions and research into work practice to achieve better outcomes. To analyse factors that prevent and imped the use of evidence based practice and understand methods to overcome these using project management principles. The course also develops competencies in engaging stakeholders and scaling successful initiatives. The course combines academic evidence-based practices with practitioner led knowledge and skills. The faculty are drawn from academia and from qualified senior managers/CEOs who work within capacity building and research organisations within non-profit sector in Ireland and internationally. The primary focus of the programme is on helping learners become better, more effective managers so they can provide better and more sustainable social outcomes to the largely deprived communities they serve in Ireland. Most of the programme will be delivered by practitioners in the sector who are also academically qualified, centering the learning on enterprise needs and delivered from a strong values based perspective and formed through ethical decision making. This course teaches participants how to use research to develop an evidence base for their work and how to implement changes to existing programmes.
