Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Technology Management
The overall goal of this BSc (Hons) in Technology Management degree is to provide graduates with essential understanding of a combination of management and software development skills that are applied to specialist areas such as Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Social Media and Business Information Systems. The programme emphasises the development of transferable skills through team work, problem solving, planning, communication, decision making and research skills. The learners will gain industry experience through the work placement that will augment both their transferable skills and the knowledge gained from the programme. The learners will consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired in the listed modules by carrying out a final year project. In particular, graduates will have specialised practical and technical skills in designing, architecting and developing software applications for business problems. Graduates will also have in-depth knowledge of business and management concepts, knowledge of the requirements of doing business in the area of their elective. Learners, who successfully complete the BSc (Hons) in Technology Management will be able to progress to a level 9 programme such as MSc in Data Analytics at the National College of Ireland, or a suitable level 9/10 National Framework of Qualifications course at a different institution.
